Iron Horse Lodge First Phase Underway in Permian Basin
AWT Logistics, developers of Iron Horse Lodge, announced that the first two phases of its six-phase workforce housing development will soon be complete in Gardendale, TX, in the Permian Basin. The initial phase, consisting of 200 single-occupancy rooms, is scheduled to open in January 2019.
Situated at 6772 E. Goldenrod Dr., between Midland and Odessa, Iron Horse Lodge consists of low-density housing and parking geared toward oilfield workers. The development hosts two and six-bedroom homes, which include kitchens and dining areas. Onsite amenities include breakfast and dinner meal options, laundry rooms, common areas with barbecues, tables and horseshoe pits, and a full-service gym.
“We were able to offer significantly more value profitably, without raising costs, and as the model continues to work we see no reason to stop acquiring properties to develop,” said Iron Horse Lodge’s Scott Rettberg. Iron Horse Lodge is planning additional workforce housing projects in the future.
