IPA Expands Phoenix Team with Two CRE Industry Vets

Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap, expanded its team in Phoenix with the addition of Peter Bauman (above left) and Tivon Moffitt (on right), who join as SVP’s. Formerly with JLL, Bauman and Moffitt are accomplished industry veterans with extensive institutional and private client relationships built by helping investors execute acquisitions, dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and recapitalization of industrial and office properties.

Together, Bauman and Moffitt have sold more than $1.5 billion in commercial real estate assets.

IPA’s Alan Pontius says, “The expansion of IPA’s office and industrial coverage throughout North America is one of our primary strategic growth initiatives as a company.”

As part of that effort, the company has boosted its ranks with 10 different moves to incorporate teams or CRE leaders in the past 12 months. Among the additions just this year include:

– Veteran retail property brokers Patrick Toomey and Tom Lagos decamped from JLL last month to join Marcus & Millichap’s IPA division. Both are executive directors based in the Los Angeles area, focusing on the Western U.S. and Hawaii.

– Two institutional agents who grew careers with Marcus & Millichap, Daniel Shin and Brock Zylstra, joined IPA in March in the Salt Lake City area.

– Office investment specialists Anthony Lunceford and Joe Massa joined IPA in Nashville in January, having previously been affiliated with Colliers International.

– Investment sales brokers, Shelton Granade, Luke Wickham and Justin Basquill joined IPA in January in Orlando from CBRE.
