New York City job growth has continued for the past 10 months, although the rate of hiring is slowing, reported the NYC Economic Development Corporation

Investors Spend More to Buy Apartment Buildings

For the first time so far in 2017, investors spent more to buy apartment properties in total dollar volume in a month than they had the year before. However, that’s partly because last year investors cut back on their buying of real estate, as they worried about the Presidential Election, according to analysis by Ariel Property Advisors.

In October 2017, buyers spent a total of $678.2 million to buy 47 apartment buildings.

That volume of investment is down slightly compared to September 2017. However, with some ups and down, the volume of investment has been mostly increasing since late spring, according to Ariel’s trailing six-month average of investment volume.
