Invesco: Sovereign Capital Flowing to U.S., CRE the Target
Atlanta, GA-based Invesco’s fourth annual “Invesco Global Sovereign Asset Management Study” revealed a strong preference for U.S. investments above other geographic areas.
The United Kingdom was the previous developed market for western sovereign investment. But many of those surveyed expressed the view that the U.S. seems increasingly open to investments. Many also feel it is now easier and more attractive to invest in the United States, in large part due to more investment friendly policies.
The report also pointed out that sovereign investors expect to increase their allocations to real estate investments and infrastructure. Global sovereign investors especially anticipate increasing global and local allocations toward real estate, more than any other asset class.
