Invenergy Expands to 100K SF at 1 S. Wacker

CBRE recently represented Invenergy, a sustainable energy solutions provider, in a 100,000-square-foot lease at 1 S. Wacker Dr.  The firm’s Bill Sheehy, Brad Serot and Cal Wessman represented Invenergy in the transaction.

The lease represents a significant expansion for Invenergy. Previously, the firm occupied 70,000 square feet at the property. The long-term renewal and expansion will increase its office space by more than 40%.

“We are seeing a lot of organic growth in the market and this is another great example of a Chicago-based firm expanding,” said Sheehy. “This strategic move will allow Invenergy to remain in this location for the long term.”

Landlord representation at 1 S. Wacker, which is owned by 601W Companies, is handled by the Telos Group’s Nikki Kern, Mercedes Barsh and JD Parcheta. 601W acquired the 40-story, 1.2-million-square-foot tower in September 2018 for a reported $310 million.
