International Film Producer Snags Studio Space in Gowanus

Jonata Dayan, executive director commercial condo/co-op sales at Resolution Real Estate Partners LLC, a member of NAI Global, arranged the purchase of 213 Bond  St. in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn, on behalf of international film producer Gaetan Rousseau.

Rousseau, who is recognized for such popular full-length features as Redemption (2021) and Rust in Peace (2018), purchased the 4,500-square-foot, four-story, single-tenant commercial property for $1.7 million. Plans for the building include converting the space into a film studio and back offices for Mr. Rousseau’s production company, Paradoxal.

“The property was well located, and our client had the vision to see past its challenges,” said Dayan. “Once renovated, this building will include 15-foot ceilings on the ground floor and other welcome attributes.”

Jesse Kay of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, 213 BS Holdings, LLC. The property was purchased at asking price.
