InterContinental SA Riverwalk Opens This Summer

The InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk is slated to open this summer.  The 21-story property features 390 rooms with 20 suites, 18,000 square feet of meeting space, a Club InterContinental lounge, and four unique restaurant and bar concepts. Located in the downtown Riverwalk neighborhood – and less than a mile from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center – the InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk will offer direct access to the Riverwalk promenade and water-taxi landing.

The property is also equipped with amenities that include a 1,800-square-foot fitness center, dedicated house cars and a Club InterContinental lounge.

Trailbreak Partners owns the property in conjunction with Scarlett Hotel Group. The owners spent $158 million to revamp what was previously a Wyndham resort.

The anticipated 2024 summer opening will be part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ robust 2024 development pipeline in Texas, with 15 new properties opening across eight brands in all stay categories, including lifestyle, luxury, premium, essentials and suites.
