InterContinental Houston Med Center Breaks Ground
Medistar Corp. has launched construction on the 353-room InterContinental Houston Medical Center Hotel. Additionally, and in partnership with Greystar, Medistar has also begun construction on the 35-story Latitude Med Center apartments. Located at Main and Old Main Streets in Houston, the developments are adjacent to the 50-million-square-foot, 1,345-acre Texas Medical Center, with estimated 2018 completion dates.
The hotel, which is being built through a joint-venture partnership with TRC Capital Partners, will be managed by InterContinental Hotel Group. InterContinental Houston Med Center is the first full-service hospitality asset to be developed in the immediate area in several decades.
Latitude Med Center will offer one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans, ranging from 349-3,767 square feet.
