InterContinental Hotel Going Up Near Lane Field

There is a new InterContinental Hotel being built in downtown San Diego near the former Lane Field ballpark.

LPP Lane Field is the developer of the 400-room luxury project, which is valued at a $200-million construction cost. The planned site was formerly a minor league ballpark located on Broadway and Pacific Highway.

The Unified Port of San Diego approved the new InterContinental Hotel. The hotel tax revenue generated from this project is expected to hit $5.4 million.

LPP Lane Field is a joint venture between Lankford & Associates, Hensel Phelps Construction and Portman Holdings.
