Interactive Toys”R”Us Pop-Up Coming to Chicago

Tru Kids Brands, owner of the Toys”R”Us brand, is partnering with Candytopia on an interactive experience debuting in Chicago and Atlanta. The Toys”R”Us Adventure will open this holiday season in Chicago at Brookfield Properties’ 830 N Michigan Ave. and in Atlanta at EDENS’ Lenox Marketplace in late October.

The Chicago and Atlanta pop-up shops will include interactive play rooms and installations featuring Toys”R’Us mascot ‘Geoffrey the Giraffe’ and popular toy vendors such as Melissa & Doug.

“As we focus on bringing a reimagined Toys”R”Us to the United States, we believe this live experience coupled with our new experiential retail stores will attract families from around the world and create a unique opportunity to rediscover the magic of this beloved family brand,” said Tru Kids CEO Richard Barry.

These limited-run engagements will remain in Chicago and Atlanta through the 2019 holiday season, before moving to other major U.S. cities in 2020.
