Insurance Brokerage Takes Madison Ave. Space
USI Insurance Services signed a 34,080-square-foot lease at New York-based Sapir Organization’s 261 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. The space in the 28-story, 383,934-square-foot building will house the company’s regional offices.
The insurance brokerage previously occupied the space as a subtenant, and will now be the direct tenant, taking the entire fifth floor and a portion of the sixth floor. The company recently purchased the insurance brokerage business of Wells Fargo, which will also be amalgamating into this location.
The building is located between 38th and 39th Street, and recently underwent a major capital improvement project.
Cushman & Wakefield’s David Itzkowitz and Jack Keesser represented the tenant in the transaction.
