The Inland Group and the Evergreen Impact Housing Fund are set to celebrate the opening of the Copper Way apartments in Spanaway, a 256-unit affordable housing development for low-income residents and families.

The project, which broke ground in 2023, is the first in Pierce County from Seattle-based Evergreen Impact Housing Fund and Spokane-based development company Inland Group. Partners on the project include the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, BECU, Sound Credit Union, Verity Credit Union, and the Washington State Employees Credit Union.

Located at 19422 Mountain Hwy E, the property features garden-style apartments, with the majority of the units having two or more bedrooms. Each unit features amenities including walk-in closets, washers and dryers, and private balconies or patios.
