Inland Empire Factory Production Rises
Production in Inland Empire factories is on the upswing, according to a recent survey report. The productivity index for the facilities is currently at 52.4, according to the Institute of Applied Research at Cal State San Bernardino’s College of Business and Public Administration. When the index is at or above 50, it is considered a healthy economy.
A&R Tarpaulins in Fontana, for one is seeing increasing sales and earnings growth.
In the survey, the only two areas that lagged were supplier deliveries and inventory levels. However, 69 percent of all of the professionals surveyed said the industry will either stay as strong as it is currently or improve.
