Industry Veteran Geoffrey Newman Returns to Savills

Industry veteran Geoffrey Newman is returning to Savills as executive managing director. Newman, who was at Savills from 2001-08, comes back to the firm after nine years at Newmark, where he received a Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award from the Real Estate Board of New York in 2018.

“As the commercial real estate sector continues to evolve rapidly, people like Geoff will further position Savills as the premier tenant advocate in the industry,” said Janet Woods, Northeast region lead for Savills. “His record of accomplishment speaks for itself. However, more than his ability to consistently produce for his clients, we are eager for his return to the firm because his philosophy and collaborative approach align perfectly with our culture.”

Although Newman specializes across several facets of the commercial real estate business, he also has experience advising nonprofits and religious organizations on ground-up development, air rights and construction management.
