Industrial Outlook “Optimistic for ‘24 and ‘25” (VIDEO)
“We’ve been through so much in the industrial market in the past few years; I think we’re at a really short pause.” That’s the summation of David Lockwood, SIOR Global president & EVP and COO with Colliers South Carolina, regarding the current market.
Speaking at Connect Industrial Midwest, held earlier this month at Joe’s Live in Rosemont, IL, Lockwood was upbeat about the near-term prospects for the sector. Given a return to historically normal vacancy rates, he said, “everything is looking really optimistic for ‘24 and ‘25.”

The well-attended live event, Connect CRE’s first of several this year, brought industry members together for insights into the state of the market, logistics trends and issues, and the latest in construction and design. A keynote interview with Jim Clewlow, COO at CenterPoint Properties, began the proceedings.
In the highlights video below, you’ll also hear insights from Aaron Martell, EVP, Central region with Logistics Property Co.; Scott Gibbel, managing director, industrial at Sterling Bay; Kirstin Brodict, SVP with JLL; and Dawn Riegel, principal with Ware Malcomb. Keep an eye out for additional coverage from Connect Industrial Midwest in the next few days.
