Industrial Construction at its Highest Level Since 2005

Industrial construction in San Antonio has skyrocketed to 4.7 million square feet, a level unseen since 2005 when Toyota Manufacturing Texas delivered a new assembly plant. As the metro closes in on the second quarter, 500,000 square feet of industrial/flex space has been delivered, with year-to-date net absorption at 123,812 square feet, according to statistics from NAI Partners. Vacancy in June 2018 was 5.8%, a 10-basis-point increase from the 5.7% reported in May 2018.
