Squash entrepreneur Jay Naseem has announced plans to open a new six-court indoor facility at 9315 Snowden River Parkway in Columbia in early November following the execution of a 12,982-square-foot lease with Ferneau Leblanc Investment Partners.

The Columbia Squash and Athletic Club will join three squash clubs operated by Naseem at locations in Potomac, Maryland and McLean and Tysons, VA. Kate Jordan, principal at Lee & Associates | Maryland represented the tenant in this lease transaction. The Columbia facility will also feature a state-of-the-art fitness center and massage area available to all players as well as the families of younger participants. Naseem is the Director of Squash at the McLean Racquet & Health Club, Squash at Tysons and The Potomac Squash Club.

According to the Sports & Fitness Association, there were more than 1.6 squash participants in the United States and the average annual growth of the sport over the past five years exceeded 4.3%. The Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association lists approximately 3.700 courts throughout the country.
