Indoor Dining Gets Green Light to Reopen in Massachusetts

Indoor dining at restaurants, as well as personal service businesses like nail salons and massage therapy parlors, have been given the go-ahead to reopen in Massachusetts as of June 22.

The reopenings were approved by state Gov. Charlie Baker as businesses gradually reopen and the COVID-19 pandemic has slowed across the state. Restaurants were allowed to resume outdoor dining services June 8, as long as tables inside and outside were spread at least six feet apart and customers wore masks while not seated at tables.

Other businesses now permitted to reopen include retail fitting rooms, tanning salons, skin care services, tattoo parlors and personal training facilities. Offices can also now expand from 25% to 50% capacity, but are encouraged to allow employees to work from home if possible.
