Indeed Signs 617K SF, Plans to Hire 3,000

Internet job search company Indeed announced its next expansion phase, one that could bring as many as 3,000 new jobs to the Austin area over the next several years. To accommodate the planned hiring surge, the company signed two leases, one for 307,000 square feet at an unnamed property known as Block 71, which will soon be under construction in Austin’s CBD. And, the online job search firm has leased all 310,000 square feet at Domain Tower, in North Austin.

Domain Tower, off MoPac Boulevard, is scheduled to be completed in summer 2018, and Indeed will move in later in the year. The Block 71 space, which is being developed by Trammell Crow Co. and Principal Real Estate Investors, is scheduled for completion in 2021.

“These two offices together will give us space to have another 3,000 employees in Austin,” Indeed’s president told 512Tech with the Austin-American Statesman. The company currently employs 1,600 in the area.
