Indeed joins a long list of notable companies who have ditched their Austin offices and put them up for sublease. The Austin Business Journal reports Indeed’s Domain Gateway 183,000 square foot office building is up for sublease. Indeed leased the entire building, in 2019.

A Partners spokesman says the move boosts the amount of sublease space available in the Austin area to 6.1 million square feet. Other companies that have put sizable offices up for sublease in recent months include Home Depot, 3M, Meta Platforms, TikTok, Atmosphere and WorkRise.

Indeed laid off 15% of its global workforce in March, or about 2,200 people.

Eventhough it’s put the Domain Gateway up for sublease, it still has leased a lot of space.

In downtown Austin, the company is the new anchor tenant at the 36-story Indeed Tower and it had also leased 57,300 square feet at the Fifth + Colorado office tower for years. it’s also leased all of what’s known as Domain Tower.
