Incentives Go to Developer of $83M MXU

San Antonio officials granted an $8 million tax incentive package to Teeple Partners, a development firm in Austin. The incentive is expected to help build the $83-million Kallison Square, a mixed-use residential and retail tower at Flores and Dolorosa Streets in downtown San Antonio. The benefit package includes $5.9 million in tax reimbursements, $1.1 million in fee waivers, and a $1 million development loan that could be forgiven if the developer meets certain conditions.

Kallison Square is proposed to have 15 floors of 305 residential units, topping a six-story parking garage. An additional 45,000 square feet of retail space is also planned. It hasn’t been determined if the units will be for-rent or for-sale. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2018, and finish in mid-2020.
