In-N-Out Veteran Signs First Lease for New Concept

Former In-N-Out Burger executive Ken Kenwood has signed a 4,000-square-foot lease for a restaurant location at Costa Mesa, CA’s The Shops at Mesa Verde. Located at 1555 Adams Ave., Kenwood’s own concept – Kenwood’s Kitchen and Tap – is expected to open in the 2nd quarter of this year.

Kenwood’s plans to offer American comfort cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients in an upscale casual ambiance. The menu will be made from scratch daily under the direction of Executive Chef Johnny Martinez, a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, and guided by 20-years of experience in the culinary and hospitality industry.

JLL Orange County’s Blake Kaplan represented Kenwood in the transaction. The landlord, Mesa Verde Partners, was represented by Motti Farag with CBRE.

“This area of Costa Mesa has seen an incredible transformation over the past several years, and is currently one of the most heavily traveled areas in Orange County,” noted Kaplan.

Connect Retail West is coming to Newport Coast, CA on Feb. 13. For more information, or to register, click here.
