In-N-Out Eyes PNW Expansion Closer to Portland
In-N-Out is expanding further into the Pacific Northwest, with a move closer to Portland. Tualatin Mayor Frank Bubenik confirmed the popular California burger chain is exploring the former Village Inn site at 17070 S.W. 72nd Ave. across the street from the Bridgeport Village mixed-use retail center for a 3,885-square-foot restaurant with drive through service and outdoor seating.
It would be the fourth In-N-Out location in Oregon and the closest one to Portland. Last year, the company opened a restaurant in Keizer (pictured), roughly 45 minutes south of Portland along I-5, and that location is still experiencing two- to three-hour waits at peak times.
This evening, the company will present its case in a virtual meeting for Tualatin area residents to review and weigh in on the plan. Some are concerned about the expected increase in traffic in what is already a congested area.
