
Imperium Capital Acquires Four-Acre Parking Facility Near Port of Savannah
New York-based Imperium Capital has acquired a secured truck and trailer parking facility in Savannah. The four-acre property was purchased for $1.7 million.
Located three miles from the Port of Savannah, the property currently serves as a last-mile logistics facility and is leased to Lightning Transportation, a local company specializing in intermodal land transportation for import-export cargo.
In 2020, Imperium Capital formed IG Logistics, an industrial platform with a laser-focus on acquiring properties with a large outdoor storage or transportation element. The new vertical specializes in acquiring and developing infill assets in high barrier to entry, urban growth markets where demand for logistics real estate is driven by e-commerce. Since launching, IG Logistics has purchased $65M of industrial sites, and has north of $100M under contract. They plan to buy north of $250M over the next year in markets including Denver, Dallas, Savannah, South Florida, Central Florida, Nashville, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Baltimore/DC.
