Immigration and Customs Enforcement Facility Sells to Florida REIT

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in San Antonio has a new owner. The 38,756-square-foot building at 1015 Jackson Keller Rd. was acquired by HC Government Realty Trust Inc., which is headquartered in Sarasota, FL. The buyer struck the $8.4-million deal for the building, which is 100% leased to the United States of America.

The facility had been completely redeveloped to meet requirements of the Department of Homeland Security, which has a lease set to expire in April 2027. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, who was undisclosed.

HC Government Realty is on the lookout for build-to-suit properties leased to the United States in secondary and smaller markets. The REIT currently owns 13 properties housing tenants such as the CIS, FBI, Social Security Administration, and Customs and Border Protection.
