Illinois Tollway Awards $44M for Construction, Engineering Services

The Illinois Tollway recently approved six construction and professional engineering contracts totaling nearly $44 million, including a contract secured through the use of bid credits for participation in Tollway workforce programs.

The Tollway maintains and operates almost 300 miles of roadways in 12 counties in Northern Illinois, including the Reagan Memorial Tollway, the Veterans Memorial Tollway, the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway, the Tri-State Tollway, and the Illinois Route 390 Tollway.

The agency board has approved more than $261 million in 2025, including $171.8 million for the 16-year, $15 billion Move Illinois capital program and almost $90 million for the seven-year, $2 billion Bridging the Future initiative, officials said. The agency expects to make more than more than $1 billion in 2025 capital investments. “The contracts approved today are supporting construction and engineering jobs throughout the Tollway system this construction season,” said Cassaundra Rouse, Illinois Tollway executive director.
