New, scaled back IKEA opening in Southlake

IKEA’s New Concept, Think Small

When one thinks of IKEA, it’s huge warehouses filled to the ceiling with home furnishings. Strolling through Industrial buildings of 250-500,000 square feet was not unusual.

The store now has plans to open a new store concept in Southlake in late 2023. Called a Plan & Order point with Pick-up. The store will be smaller, much smaller. The new Southlake store will only be 11,000 square feet. It will be dedicated to kitchen, bedroom and living room planning. Customers will get home furnishing advice from IKEA design specialists.

While the store will not hold products to buy, customers can order items to be delivered to their home or picked up from the store.

The store will be located in the Park Village shopping center at 1041 E. Southlake Blvd., Stes. 100 and 110. IKEA Southlake will join the two large-format stores in Dallas-Fort Worth with locations in Grand Prairie and Frisco.
