IHP & KB Home Break Ground on Carlsbad Development

Real estate investment firm IHP Capital Partners and homebuilder KB Home have announced the acquisition and groundbreaking of Marja Acres, a mixed-use community in Carlsbad, CA. The project will include 248 townhomes, 46 affordable senior apartments and 10,000 square feet of commercial space.

“Marja Acres will be a unique, mixed-use community reflective of Carlsbad and the surrounding area’s local character,” said Jeff Enes, senior vice president at IHP. “We are extremely pleased to partner with KB Home’s experienced team in completing Marja Acres and delivering a new supply of quality homes for the residents of North San Diego County.”

The new homes will feature spacious kitchens overlooking large great rooms, expansive bedroom suites and ample storage space. Amenities of the infill community will include a village green, pocket parks, and a community center with a pool, BBQ area and bocce ball. Model home construction will start in the 4th quarter with homes sales beginning in early 2023.
