ICSC MAXI Awards Fete Retail Excellence
The winners of ICSC’s 2018 MAXI Awards were honored this week at the annual RECon retail real estate convention in Las Vegas. The awards celebrate the creative and innovative practices that paint the future of the industry, highlighting the retail real estate industry’s most innovative events, programs and technologies that add value to shopping centers and companies throughout the country.
The retail group gave out 23 Gold awards, the top category, as well as 42 Silver awards at this year’s event. The biggest winner was Westfield.
Westfield Century City in Los Angeles (pictured above) won Gold awards in five categories for shopping centers that are more than 500,001 square feet, including:
– Grand Opening/Redevelopment/Expansion/Renovations
– Grand Opening public relations category
– Westfield Beauty & Balance at Westfield integrated advertising program
– Westfield Veterans Initiative Cause-Related Marketing
– Westfield Century City Pop-Up NOI Enhancement, Leasing / Specialty Leasing
Westfield also won a Gold for its Westfield World Trade Center Holiday Village at Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan in the NOI Enhancement, Partnership Marketing /Sponsorship for Shopping Centers under 500,000 square feet category.
