IMC Plans Publix-Anchored Retail Development on Jacksonville’s North Side
International Management Company, LLC (IMC) announced plans to develop a Publix-anchored, Class A retail development on Jacksonville’s Northside. Northpoint Village Shopping Center will consist of roughly 142,000 square feet on about 27 acres at New Berlin Road and Yellow Bluff Road.
Publix signed a 48,387-square-foot lease for a grocery and pharmacy store. Built in phases, the initial phase will consist of a stand-alone shopping center with roughly 16,600 square feet of inline space adjacent to Publix, as well as five outparcels.
Planned for completion in Summer 2022, Phase I’s approximately 88,000 square feet will be developed on nearly 17 acres. Depending on demand, Phase II may be developed simultaneously or in the future with entitlements for up to 64,000 square feet of retail, medical and/or office uses.
IMC’s Brett McKee notes the area has been underserved, and the site near I- 295, I-95 and U.S. 17, offers “convenience and selection” near “a dense residential market.”
