IBM Cuts Ribbon on One Madison Avenue Offices

IBM on Friday celebrated the opening of its new flagship office at SL Green Realty Corp.’s redeveloped One Madison Ave. The new 270,000 square-foot office, which IBM leased in 2022, spans five floors and will be home to more than 2,000 New York-area employees.

“IBM is a global technology innovator leading the way in AI, automation and cloud-based solutions,” said Marc Holliday, SL Green chairman and CEO. “It embodies resiliency, grit and the spirit of progress and constant transformation. One Madison Avenue tracks the history and evolution of New York City and of IBM. We couldn’t be more proud to be home to their new flagship New York City office.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured remarks from IBM CEO Arvind Krishna, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, Partnership for New York City president and CEO Kathryn Wylde and others. The new space, which consolidates from other Manhattan locations, is expected to reach full occupancy in October.
