Hyperion, Lawrence Benenson Forge JV to Acquire Multifamily Properties

Hyperion Group, a New York and South Florida-based real estate investment and development firm, has formed a joint venture with Lawrence Benenson, a partner in Benenson Capital. The newly established venture, HyperionMFP Partners, will focus on acquiring value-add and core-plus assets in the Tri-state region, South Florida and other select markets. HyperionMFP Partners intends to collaborate with institutional investors and family offices on targeted acquisition opportunities.

HyperionMFP Partners is also announcing its first acquisition: The Centre, a 16-story, 314-unit rental building in Cliffside Park, NJ. The property was acquired for $165 million. The JV will manage it.

“The Centre is a Class-A rental providing luxury high rise living convenient to New York City and nearby New Jersey employment centers, walking distance to schools, restaurants and other local attractions,” said Rob Vecsler, managing partner of HyperionMFP and CEO of Hyperion.  “There could not be a more perfect first acquisition for our strategy.”
