Hyatt Launching Caption, A Major New Lifestyle Hotel Brand
Chicago-based Hyatt Hotels Corporation is launching a major new hotel lifestyle brand called Caption, which will “combine the design of an upscale, lifestyle-forward hotel with the flexibility of a select-service property.”
The hotels will be “grounded in caring for people and place and creating connections between them, the Caption by Hyatt brand is committed to hiring diverse talent, vendors, artisans, and suppliers – and celebrating the diversity of people in the communities in which Caption by Hyatt hotels will be located,” Hyatt said in a statement.
The first Caption will open this summer in Memphis, TN, a 136 room located in “the heart of famed and vibrant Beale street. Hyatt said the feel of the new hotel will be upscale but with “an unmistakable neighborhood feel.”
Other upcoming Caption brand hotels are slated for Shanghai, Osaka, Tokyo and Saigon, Hyatt said.
