Hyatt Commercial Represents Seller in Sale of Family-Owned Boatyard

Hyatt Commercial announced the sale and closing of Casa Rio Marina, located at 4079 Cadle Creek Road in Edgewater, Maryland, for $4.6 million. The transaction was brokered by Jeff Griesbauer and Judith Neighoff of Hyatt Commercial, who represented the Seller.

The property, a second-generation family-owned boatyard, was purchased by a long-standing, local marine service operator and his son, who plan to continue the marina’s services. Located along the protected waters of Cadle Creek off the Rhode River, Casa Rio Marina spans more than 6.5 acres and offers a safe harbor with 35 wet slips and 200 on-land storage spaces. The location provides convenient access to the Chesapeake Bay.

“Casa Rio has been a landmark marina on the Mayo Peninsula for decades,” said Jeff Griesbauer, Vice President at Hyatt Commercial. “We’re proud to have represented the Seller in passing this well-loved property to another family dedicated to preserving its service and reputation in the local boating community.”
