HWE Brokers Sale of 319-Room Hotel Van Zandt in Austin
Boutique real estate capital markets advisor Hodges Ward Elliot has arranged the sale of Hotel Van Zandt, a 319-room hotel located at 605 Davis Street in downtown Austin. The sales price was not disclosed.
The boutique hotel is part of the Kimpton network of international hospitality assets and opened in 2015. The Hotel Van Zandt offers rooms ranging in size from 330 to 1,100 square feet and includes 52 suites. Amenities include a fourth-floor pool deck with views of Lady Bird Lake.
Daniel Peek, John Bourret, Austin Brooks and David Auer of HWE advised the undisclosed seller in the transaction. The buyer was not disclosed.
“HWE conducted a very targeted campaign to market the sale of the Hotel Van Zandt. The result was a competitive bid process with a variety of buyers, including REITs, private equity groups and family offices,” said Bourret. “After careful consideration, we identified a buyer making a strategic push into the Austin hotel market and selected them for this much-admired asset.”
