Hunter Storm, Verizon Commence 640K-SF Tech Hub at San Jose’s Coleman Highline
Verizon and Cupertino-based Hunter Storm broke ground on Verizon’s new 640,000-square-foot technology hub at Coleman Highline, a massive, mixed-use, transit-oriented development in San Jose. Verizon, Hunter Storm and San Jose city officials gathered at the development site to commemorate the construction milestone.
The Verizon tech hub will support more than 3,000 employees, and will include a 2,250-square-foot welcome pavilion and more than 45,000 square feet of workplace amenities such as a fitness center and a café and marketplace. Designed by Gensler, the campus will create dynamic social and communal spaces that inspire collaboration. Completion is slated for late 2021.
Verizon Media will occupy a large portion of the 1.75-million-square-foot Coleman Highline campus in total. Roku, Inc. leased 730,000 square feet of the project last summer for its new corporate HQ. The multi-phased project will include 115,000 square feet of amenities and retail space, including a public market and 175-room hotel next to Avaya Stadium.
