Hunter Storm Secures Approvals for Massive Transit Village MXU

The Santa Clara City Council’s recent approval has paved the way for Hunter Storm to move forward on its proposed Gateway Crossings project, a massive, mixed-use, transit-oriented development straddling the border of San Jose and Santa Clara. The stage is now set for the developer to fulfill its vision of a dynamic transit village next to the San Jose International Airport and the Santa Clara Transit Center.

Gateway Crossings (pictured) will provide 1,565 homes directly adjacent to Cupertino-based Hunter Properties’ Coleman Highline, a new tech office campus with 1.75 million square feet. Verizon Media recently took 643,000 square feet at Coleman Highline, and Roku, Inc. had previously leased 730,000 square feet for a corporate HQ.

The mix of uses at Gateway Crossings also includes a 225-room hotel, two parks, and 45,000 square feet of retail. The Coleman Highline campus adds 7,500 square feet of retail and a 175-room hotel. Groundbreaking is planned in fall 2019, with completion slated for 2021.

Connect Direct-to-Consumer is coming up next month at San Jose’s Santana Row. Get more information and register for the September 26th event on this link.
