Hunt Midwest to Build 1.5M-SF Facility for Ace Hardware at KCI 29 Logistics Park
Hunt Midwest will construct a 1.5 million-square-foot, build-to-suit facility for Ace Hardware Corporation at the Kansas City-based real estate company’s new 3,300-acre mega site, KCI 29 Logistics Park.
The Ace retail support center will be the first building at the development park, and at 1.5 million square feet, the facility will be the largest distribution center in Kansas City. The project is expected to create 350 new jobs and is scheduled to be operational in 2025, including state-of-the-art technology, automation, and warehouse systems.
KCI 29 Logistics Park, which officially broke ground this week, has the potential to create up to 20 million square feet of Class A industrial space and attract more than 9,000 jobs and $2.5 billion in capital investment. The project, which is supported by funding from the State of Missouri, has already seen strong interest from large-scale, national, and global users in advanced manufacturing, distribution and logistics, and technology.
