Hunt Midwest Prepares to Add 650K SF of Spec at KC Center

The strong leasing momentum at Hunt Midwest Business Center in Kansas City, MO has led to 100% occupancy at both HMBC Logistics I and II, the start of construction on HMBC Logistics III and the permitting of HMBC Logistics IV. Logistics III will offer 217,783 square feet of space when it opens in March 2019; Logistics IV will be a 435,000-square-foot cross-dock facility with a May 2019 opening.

Most recently, Vanguard Packaging and Great Plains Packaging have taken 100,890 square feet at Logistics I, while Online Labels opened a 37,888-square-foot regional manufacturing and fulfillment center there. At Logistics II, Wurth DMB opened a 27,164-square-foot regional distribution center and Voss Lighting leased 27,257 square feet.

Hunt Midwest CEO Ora Reynolds cited HMBC’s “central location, scalable footprint, strong workforce, excellent highway access, and 100% real property tax abatement for 25 years” as drivers of the property’s success.
