Hunt Midwest Branches Out into Self-Storage

Hunt Midwest Real Estate Development is expanding into the self-storage business, with the development of four climate-controlled self-storage facilities in the Kansas City metro area. Two of the four locations, branded as StorTropolis, have opened in the last quarter.

The first is StorTropolis Shawnee in Shawnee, KS. Also opening its doors is StorTropolis Brighton in Brighton, MO.

A third location, StorTropolis Tiffany Springs, will open in Kansas City, MO in early summer. The fourth location, StorTropolis Blue Springs, will break ground this summer with an opening for the Blue Springs, MO facility set for 2020.

“StorTropolis is an expansion of our real estate brand,” said Hunt Midwest CEO Ora Reynolds. “The fast-growing self-storage real estate market is evolving toward fully enclosed, climate-controlled units, and StorTropolis provides customer-friendly management, high tech security and state-of-the-art units expected by today’s customer.”
