Hunt Launches Construction on 200K-SF Spec

Dallas developer Hunt Southwest broke ground on the first of two, 200,000-square-foot, speculative warehouse buildings in McKinney, TX. The first building, 75/Wilmeth@McKinney, on Wilmeth Road near U.S. 75, will be completed by summer 2018. Construction of the second 200,000-square-foot building is planned at Corporate and Commerce Drives in University Business Park.

Hunt Southwest is building the as-yet unnamed project in the far north Dallas suburb, in partnership with the McKinney Economic Development Corp.  The city of McKinney provided development incentives, such as infrastructure reimbursement and tax abatements.

According to Hunt’s T. Preston Herold, the facilities should attract light manufacturers, warehouse users, distributors, service providers, suppliers and last-mile e-commerce users.
