Hughes Landing to Receive Second Multifamily Property

The Howard Hughes Corp. (HHC) has announced it will break ground on a 386-unit, eight-story apartment building in Hughes Landing in The Woodlands, TX. The Dallas-based developer is scheduled to begin construction on the complex in July 2018. A construction permit filed with Montgomery County indicated that the $80 million apartment project at 2000 Hughes Landing would be called Two Lakes Edge. One Lakes Edge, which opened in 2015, is 99% occupied.

The project will offer one, two and three-bedroom units, along with an outdoor entertainment area and resort-style pool. Also available will be ground-level space for retail and a restaurant. The project is anticipated for a spring 2020 completion. The Preston Partnership is the architect, and Hoar Construction the general contractor.

Hughes Landing is HHC’s 66-acre mixed-use project in The Woodlands. The Woodlands Development Corp. is an HHC subsidiary.
