Hudson Will Bring Checkout-Free Store to Midway Airport

Hudson, which operates more than 1,000 stores in airports, commuter hubs, landmarks and tourist destinations across North America, will bring its checkout-free Hudson Nonstop concept, powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, to Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW). It’s slated to open in mid-2021, following the concept’s launch at Dallas Love Field Airport.

Developed in partnership with the Chicago Department of Aviation and Midway Partnership, Hudson Nonstop will be part of MDW’s concessions redevelopment program.

“Offering safe and healthy travel experiences for our passengers is more important than ever, and we are delighted to add to Midway’s convenient, contactless options for shopping and dining with the arrival of Hudson Nonstop,” said CDA commissioner Jamie L. Rhee.

Sammy Patel, CEO of Midway Partnership, said the new store would be especially appealing to “our time-sensitive travelers, as purchases can be made at the speed and convenience that best fits their schedule.”
