Hudson Capital Properties Gets $144M for 434-Unit Community in Atlanta

Hudson Capital Properties has completed the $143.5-million sale of Hudson Ridge Apartments in Atlanta, GA to L+M Fund Management. Kevin Geiger of CBRE represented HCP in the transaction.

HCP purchased the community, in Atlanta’s Cumberland submarket, in 2016 and subsequently executed a full renovation program.

“Hudson Ridge was by far the largest acquisition we had made at the time in 2016 which is indicative of our conviction in the Atlanta market and our strategy for the asset,” said Robert Cohen II, CIO at HCP.

The 1998-constructed property on Windy Ridge Lane has had three owners. It is located near more than 100 Fortune 500 companies in the Cumberland submarket and within walking distance of The Battery Atlanta with upwards of 400,000 square feet of retail and the 41,500-seat Truist Park, home to the Atlanta Braves and a host of year-round events. A burgeoning retail, shopping and entertainment district with numerous Class-A office developments is also nearby.
