HSR’s Goal is to Create an Urban Village for Legacy Square
The Dallas-Fort Worth office of High Street Residential (HSR), Trammell Crow Company’s residential subsidiary, and JV Partner Principal Real Estate Investors recently broke ground on Legacy Square, a 363-unit multifamily development in Plano. The community will deliver the first units in late 2022, with the final completion slated for June 2023.
Legacy Square will feature a mix of apartments and townhomes available for rent, ranging in size from one to three bedrooms with select units offering an added study. One-, two- and three-story townhomes will be available, and include attached private two-car garages and private yards or patios. The community will feature two amenity buildings which will include a fitness center, a clubroom, conference rooms and a business center.
“Our goal for Legacy Square is to create a development that fits nicely into the surrounding neighborhood, while simultaneously creating an urban village of its own,” said Joel Behrens, principal with HSR’s Dallas-Fort Worth office. “Legacy Square provides high-end amenities that are more expansive and park-like than traditional multifamily developments in the area. The direct access to Legacy Drive and Custer Road will also provide future residents great access to North Texas and the area’s major employment centers.”
Centrally located west of U.S. Highway 75 near Dallas North Tollway, Legacy Square provides regional access to the Dallas CBD. The development is located near North Texas region’s growing professional community which includes Plano, Allen, McKinney, Richardson and DFW Airport.
GFF Architects has been commissioned to design the project, while Andres Construction has been appointed the general contractor. Construction financing was provided by Principal Real Estate Investors.
