HSA PrimeCare Completes Expansion for UChicago Medicine in New Lenox
HSA PrimeCare, the national healthcare real estate division of Chicago-based HSA Commercial Real Estate, completed a 5,168-square-foot expansion of The University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center. The facility is located on the Silver Cross Hospital campus in New Lenox, IL.
UChicago Medicine sought to expand its medical oncology program, located on the second floor of the cancer center, and met with HSA PrimeCare, the building’s developer and owner, to outline its growth requirements. HSA PrimeCare evaluated an expansion to the existing building and also presented a potential expansion into a neighboring building that would be connected by a pedestrian bridge.
“The expanded facility is yet another example of how academic medical centers are bringing specialty services such as cancer care into community health settings,” said John Wilson, president of HSA PrimeCare.
Developed in 2012 by HSA PrimeCare, the property is fully leased to Silver Cross Hospital and UChicago Medicine.
