HRDC Grants Approval for MF in Historic Government Hill

Developer SA Quad Ventures and architects The Davies Collaborative obtained site-plan approval from the Historic and Design Review Commission for a 320-unit, 2,500-square-foot retail project in San Antonio’s historic Government Hill neighborhood. The property, between East Carson and Quitman Streets, is vacant except for a historic home on site, which might have to be moved.

SA Quad Ventures purchased the recently-renovated, 1930s Craftsman Sears kit house in March 2019 from someone in the military, who moved to another post, and neighbors don’t want to see the home moved from the area. Additionally, before the as-yet unnamed development can officially begin, the city council has to sign off on rezoning changes on the site at 18035 Carson St., situated near the Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston’s south gate.
