Howard Hughes Unveils 240-Acre Monarch City
Howard Hughes Corp. revealed plans for the 240 acres it owns at Sam Rayburn Turnpike and U.S. 75 in Allen, TX. The Dallas-based developer is planning a mixed-use development dubbed Monarch City, which will hold office, retail, apartments and hotels.
The developer has been working on the project, which will hold up to 8.7 million square feet, for more than a year with architect Omniplan. Jeff Eckert, James Esquivel and Jay Bailey with JLL are marketing and office leasing leads for the asset.
“Moving beyond the typical office park, Monarch City is building upon the momentum that we are seeing across the state and across the country as a whole. The Howard Hughes Corporation is creating a dynamic urban, walkable community,” said Mark Bulmash, Senior Vice President, Development for Howard Hughes Corporation.
Bulmash told the Dallas Morning News that the developer is planning to go in for zoning in 2018.
