Howard Hughes Begins Work on 2,000-Acre Woodland Hills
The Howard Hughes Corp. has broken ground on Woodland Hills, a 2,000-acre master-planned development straddling Conroe and Willis, TX. The Houston metro development is approximately 13 miles north of The Woodlands, which is also owned by HHC.
Woodland Hills is on Farm-to-Market Road 830, on the west side of Interstate 45, with the boundary extending north to Farm-to-Market Road 1097 and south to League Line Road. The development will eventually hold more than 4,500 residences, as well as 112 acres of open space, 20 neighborhood parks and a 17-acre Village Park. Home builders will be announced before the end of 2017. A commercial component, consisting of retail, is also planned.
