CBRE Selected Leasing Partner for New Howard U. Research Center
Howard University and the development team of Quadrangle and Capstone Development have chosen CBRE as the leasing partner for the University’s National Research Center for Health Disparities (NRCHD).
The NRCHD will provide laboratory and office space for innovators in science and medicine to develop solutions to diseases that disproportionately affect marginalized communities. The first phase of the project has received zoning approval and will construct 179,000 square feet of space, with potential expansion in future phases.
The NRCHD is a personal mission of Howard University President Dr. Wayne A. I. Frederick, who aims to address health disparities. CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic Life Sciences practice will support the project. Howard University has additional investments planned in a new hospital, health sciences complex, and STEM center.
